Loans between $1,500 and $15,000 may be funded online. †We offer personal loans from $1,000 to $25,000, with minimum and maximum amounts dependent on an applicant’s state of residence and the underwriting of the loan. Feel completely ripped off and I see why they are being sued by at least states. Would NOT recommend considering I paid interest on $300.00 for over four months. They’re willing to loan money and gouge you with interest rates but proved almost impossible to get this loan paid off early. Just give the damn number and send me on my way. So weird! Why would she care to argue if she wouldn’t be able to help me. And finally after being on the defense, rudely interrupted, and terrible customer service skills, she hung up on me without giving me true number.

They told me I paid the “wrong payoff balance” with a random amount including change, that “they did not have any record of a call in for payoff”, so I just made up a random amount? Uh, I wasn’t born yesterday and wouldn’t pay off $3.50 loan without a payoff amount, let alone over five grand, and then the customer service agent got extremely argumentative like a bratty teenager reiterating it would be my fault, not theirs even though she had already admitted that she couldn’t help me because I would have to speak with a local branch. The minute I attempt to payoff early, I get the wrong payoff amount given to me and would not have even have know the account was still open accumulating horrendous interest had I not seen the balance go up on Credit Karma.

Was approved and service was excellent at a time when I was struggling with health and therefore finances. Past interactions with this branch have been positive but based on my recent experience I doubt that I will do business with Mariner Finance again once I have paid the balance owing I no longer drive and so it is difficult to go into the office in person. On May 23rd I submitted a written summary of the problems that I have been having to Customer Relations and received an email stating that someone would respond by the end of the following business day. I have also called and left a message at the number given for Customer Relations but again no one returned my call. Again I called and left messages that were never returned. He explained that I might be more likely to be approved then because "Customer Appreciation Days" was beginning. On May 16th I was able to speak to a gentleman who agreed thst either he or one of the other staff would call me the following day at 3:00PM. Although I leave detailed messages no one returns my call. I usually encounter a recording stating that no one is available to take my call and to leave a message. I have repeatedly tried to call the Everett Washington branch during the past several weeks regarding adding an additional amount to my existing loan account.
