When Call of Duty has really capitalized with its Zombie experiences, it’s been with Treyarch, which was responsible for not only developing Cold War, but also for the iconic, Call of Duty: Black Ops. And as we know from their Call of Duty history, Zombie modes are just not their expertise. In case you don’t know, Modern Warfare 2 was created by Infinity Ward. This leads right into final point, which comes down to the gaming development. It lacked a variety of vital ingredients and the Outbreak mode didn’t even compare to Cold War’s much improved experience. In comparison to Cold War, the Vanguard Zombies mode was a major let down. As a result, it would have been surprising to see Call of Duty bring it back for a third straight year. Infinity Ward, the gaming developer of Modern Warfare 2, have not made any announcements that they are going to add in a Zombies mode into Call of Duty’s new game and that doesn’t come to much of a surprise.įor starters, Call of Duty did add a Zombies mode in each of its last two installments they released prior to MW2, this being in ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard’ and in ‘Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War’.
